Burning the Clocks

The dark grip of long wintry nights is broken by a flicker of light. Started in 1993, Burning the Clocks represents an alternative to the commercial Christmas. Thousands of people gather to make paper lanterns to carry through Brighton city before burning them on the beach as a token for the end of the year and to greet the lengthening days. Sadly my bro and I missed the bonfire and fireworks while having a cheeky beer in the pub, whoops! A fantastic event to celebrate winter solstice and the sunny days ahead.
