Eyes on the ball

Mark Philippoussis about to despatch a volley to win the tie-break in the first set of his match against Greg Rudedski this afternoon in the Champions of Tennis seniors' tournament that is taking place in Edinburgh over the next four days. I was there to try and take some sports shots - but, my, those guys hit the ball fast! They have erected a tent above a temporary court on the Edinburgh Accies sports ground in Stockbridge, somewhere I have played a bit of hockey in the past. This afternoon's crowd was a little small for the two games - Mark beat Greg in two sets and they were followed by Wayne Ferreira and Mikael Pernfors, Ferreira also winning two set to love after a first set tiebreak. This evening will probably be a lot busier as Tim Henman is playing Goran Ivanisevic but I have a ticket for a film in the film Festival so shall be there instead. Back for some more tennis tomorrow. Fingers crossed I can manage to get  a few more decent shots.
