Port Aransas

This morning on our side trip to the Texan coast we had a delightful visit to the Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Centre where we had amazing close up views of birds of many different kinds from the boardwalks and observation platforms.
Apparently there is a resident 50 year old alligator called Boots but he didn’t appear below the boardwalks today.

In the afternoon we returned to the beach and the dogs had another paddle ( foreground in 2nd extra) while Mrs AMK and I walked along a wooden pier where we spied the pelican ( 1st extra) keeping an eye on the fishermen.
We then had a lovely walk along the beach.

Beautiful sunny warm day in marked contrast to back home in Scotland where we hear storm Gerrit has been causing havoc.
