First fix

Today the electricians finished the first fix. Here is C with Ollie and George who have done most of the work, and brought a lot of their own ideas to the task.

This is the project we have been on with since before we arrived last January. This is a modern extension to the small old cottage, and it replaces the outbuildings that were poorly built, and if they had stayed would have needed a lot of attention. We gain more space and options for the future, there is no intention of moving again in our lifetimes.

In time, I shall do some backblips to illustrate progress to this point. It’s been a happy process led by builder Pete. Ollie and George are the sons of an old friend of Pete’s who has done all his electrical installations for over thirty years. They have been a joy to work with.
