Friday 21 June 2013: Rosa rugosa flowers

It's the last day of the working week! Took this picture of a very fragrant rose on my way home. I think it's some form of Rosa rugosa. A native of Asia and while grown commonly as an ornamental in the UK it can escape and become a pest.

After a rest we went out to work on our meadow be weeding the planted flower beds and raking up the cut grass areas. It was a very useful few hours though it has set my hay fever off terribly...
