Drumming

Since the museum landscape has become an example of water sustainability, please join us for a summer solstice drumming Celebration of Water under the Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum's green roof pavilion.

Social hour will commence at 6:00 pm. Light refreshments will be served. Feel free to bring a dish to share if you like.

Dr. Robert Damm of MSU's Department of Music will lead the drumming event from 7-8 pm. Drums will be provided; no prior drumming experience is necessary. If you prefer, you may watch, listen and enjoy.

NOTE ABOUT THE DRUMMING CIRCLE: While everyone is invited to participate, this event will be a formal and structured drumming ceremony. Therefore, very young kids may get bored and restless.

Little Man made us proud; he did most of the drumming, and at the end when it got too long for him, he just walked off and started doing his thing.

It was magical.
