Whirlpool

We have a very smal pond in our garden.
During winter I let the fountain in it. It creates a wonderful icy landscape and there is always an open space for the birds. They appreciate the possibility of the access to water and some even take a short dip.
A rather cold whirlpool ;-)
I love to watch them through the window of our kitchen.
Some buckets of fresh water every day are enough to prevent the pump from freezing :-D
