First stag beetle of 2013

I've usually seen lots of these by the middle of June but they've been conspicuously absent this month.

I spotted this one on a nearby wall on my way to book group 2 this evening. So great to see one at last.

Lovely book group meeting discussing an unusual book (Land of decoration). So nice to catch up with everyone again and turn off from work for a few hours.
