Music and movement

Avital and I went to visit Layil and Jimmy and their new baby in Walthamstow. (Ugham was tiny when born early two months ago, but is bonny now.) Layil had made us a wonderful cheesecake, and played her viola da gamba to accompany Avital singing Merula's 'Canzonetta spirituale sopra alla nanna'. The photographer managed to play a repeated A and B flat on the piano and keep in time, which was a minor triumph...
