Strip the willow

Last night I played with Band 1 at a (pre) Burns Night ceilidh at Ellesmere College.  We had to set up then disappear for a couple of hours while they had the ceremonies and the seven course meal.

We could have sat in a classroom but went to the local pub instead which was very enjoyable as there were lots of people there that we knew as a concert was going on.

The setting for the ceilidh was fantastic - a lovely hall beautifully decorated. My blip is of P from the band demonstrating a Strip the Willow with the caller.  She was wearing a Black Watch sash as her father in law was a piper in that regiment.
