Capital adventures

Day out

Up early and a bit surprised that my driver was not Leo, but Peter. But he was on time, had a car and off we went. We were heading for Ubud but never really got to the centre owing, as #2 son predicted, the traffic. It was, as usual the tourist spots, and spending opportunities.

Silversmith, dance show, which was good, coffee plantation with free tasting on a range of teas, coffee and chocolate, woodworking (,no ducks), art gallery (painting by numbers) then lunch in a restaurant with a view across rice paddies then a waterfall. 200 steps down and 200 steps back up, in the heat! Last was a market, not Ubud though. Despite all.of this it was a good day and Peter is booked for Wednesday.

Back in time for a swim. Pool was busier, new people and a couple of kids. I stayed till after 6 and then, after a glass on the balcony, walked down the street for dinner. Chat with the guy who did me the boat trip on the way back. Another glass on the balcony watching the moon rise and then bed.
