Blood will out

Breton spaniels originated, allegedly, from the British aristos leaving their springer spaniels in France for the winter where, a little unsurprisingly, they bred with some of the local pointers.
This is Ruadh in her pointing mode. She totally zones out and will stay in this pose, absolutely stationary, for several minutes. Here there was in fact a rabbit about two metres in front of her to which she eventually gave chase until it snuck under a wall to escape.
Amazing what a few genes can do many generatinos down the line.
Friends around for a belated Burns night supper made for a late and genial evening.
