Pruning lesson

Our lovely Blip friend, Mima, popped in this morning to give me a lesson on how to prune the blackcurrant bush and even left her lopper tool with me, which was extremely kind.  After she’d left I got stuck in and completed the job, but will check tomorrow to see if there’s anything I’ve missed.  Mima also checked the red pears and pronounced them ready to pick.  They’re small and not very good quality but the tree will be getting cut back quite severely in a month or so, which hopefully will help to produce better fruit next year.  I also picked all the ripe tomatoes.  The small ones are lovely to munch on - just like eating sweets but so much better for you.

We had a late lunch, as we had a meeting to go to at 7pm, which meant we also got a walk in.

A will be here tomorrow morning to help us move the furniture back into the second bedroom and we’ll move the furniture out of the third bedroom into the second bedroom over the weekend, ready for A to start painting it sometime next week.  It’s going to be so good to get it all finished.

This is an emergency blip as I’ve not taken any other photos today.  The daisies are lovely though and just popped up in the garden, as so many other plants have done.
