Newborough Lighthouse

We headed over to Trearddur Bay this morning and had a walk along the beach. Then we headed over to South Stack. It was gorgeous in the sunshine and we had a good walk and worked up an appetite which was cured by a slice of cake in the cafe.

I fancied a swim at Porth Dafarch, but dogs weren’t allowed on the beach and it was a bit cloudy. We headed to Newborough Beach and met up with Jude on the beach. The tide was going out and the sky was amazing as the sun was sinking beautifully so we walked onto the island. I stupidly had left my swim stuff in the car and so I missed out on a swim again, but the walk to the lighthouse was stunning and made up for it.

Jude picked up fish ‘n’ chips on the way back to the cottage and we have sat like three old ladies…each warm under a throw and creaking when we got up.

And…that was our last day. Nearly 17k steps done, blue skies and sunshine and a stunning sunset. Oh….and Vernon Kay read out my text on the radio this morning lol.
