Life Savors

Sugar & Spice

I am finally getting to some of photos from our time in Las Vegas.

Our youngest granddaughter is now almost 22 months old.  She understands just about everything and is starting to put short sentences together.  On this particular afternoon we took her and her 4 year old brother for a long walk along one of the many beautiful walking trails in Summerlin.  We took the stroller for the one mile walk up to the top of the hill, but she chose to walk a good part of it.  We had lots of stops along the way for pictures and exploring rocks, with her brother reading all the signs along the way.  When we finally got to the very top where there is a lovely bench, we could look out over the east valley of Las Vegas where the mountains were lit up by the sun setting in the west.  It was gorgeous.  Then we headed home, and didn't get home until after dark.

As you can see the temperature was delightful, but as soon as the sun set, it got very cold as it does in the desert, and we all put on our winter jackets and she went into the stroller under a blanket.

She was out like a light when she went to bed.  It was our last afternoon with them.  We miss them so much.
