What struck my fancy

Gulls

This is the entrance to the channel that accommodates the trawlers off to my left. The river great Ouse is to the right and flows to join The Wash and North Sea away further to the right.

At around high tide the mud bank is submerged and the trawlers can pass through easily. When the bank is exposed gulls will rest there and wait for the shellfish processing plant to start work and provide them with tasty morsels.

It's late afternoon, raining and a dull grey sky.
