After the Rain...and before the next Deluge!

It rained all day yesterday and although it's stopped at the moment it still looks pretty threatening. What's more the Met Office has issued another yellow warning of rain from 19.00 today until 12.00 tomorrow - I'm thinking of building an ark!

The silver lining is that it gave me the chance to take this moody mono photo on my morning walk. In case you're worried about why people are walking down the middle of a road, it's an old piece of road which many years ago was bypassed with a dual carriageway and is now fully pedestrianised (as long as one watches out for the occasional bike). I'm old enough however to have driven along it in its original state a long time ago! As you can see, nature is gradually encroaching across the tarmac.
