Cooking for One

I defrosted the fridge this afternoon. Quite an exercise.

In the process I threw some things away, and decided others needed using today - including pears, plums and an apple, which with a bit of cinnamon and just a little water all became a fruit compôte. Add yoghurt and it’s a healthy dessert.,

At a time when I am way out of any comfort zone, I have been eating and enjoying a bit too much comfort food. I’ll reform next month.

After years of cooking for two, I need to work out an approach to cooking for one and keeping it healthy. I think that’s going to take time too.
