A Host of Golden Daffodils

No sooner had we got over our trip to darkest Nottinghamshire, we had to drive south to Cheltenham for Len to have an MRI. The procedure took an hour and was something of a trial by all accounts. The last time we had been in Cheltenham was on10th August when Rudbeckia was flowering in the garden and it was hot and humid. We were really cheered by this host of daffodils instead. It's definitely a milder climate 'dahn sahth' because our daffs are  nowhere so advanced.

I sat in the foyer just looking at my phone. I had had other intentions but I was too lazy. Few people came in unlike August when it was really busy.

The building sits opposite what was Cheltenham Ladies' College. It's now co-educational.

We called in on Uncle David on our way back who is recovering from a bad bout of pneumonia. He did look worn but remains chipper and has just begun to resume activities such as the Probus Club. His family have moved his comfy armchair to the glass doors in the dining room from where he can watch the birds on the feeders and even take photos with his new camera. Like me, he has been afflicted with the fatigue of acute illness.

Very good to see him.
