PUT the snail in the plant pot, not drop it or throw it. Still safer than leaving it on the grass, though. It'll be tricky when we get round to allotmentating some lettuces or cauliflowers and have to start encouraging the dissuasion of slugs and snails whilst also encouraging non-lethal behaviour towards otherwise innocent gastropods. Maybe we could collect them then take them up to the big patch of hogweed to see if they can assist in reducing the uncontrolled growth.
