Rhisgl coch yr hen goeden ~ The red bark of the old tree

“Hence, if higher space exists and our world borders upon it and lies partially in it, it follows necessarily that we see only portions of all objects. We never see their true and complete shape. We see their three measurements, but not their fourth.”
― Algernon Blackwood, (‘A victim of higher space’, by Algernon Blackwood (1914), in ‘Dangerous Dimensions - Mind-bending Tales of the Mathematical Weird’, edited by Henry Bartholomew )

Rydw i wedi cwblhau uwchlwytho yr holl fy ffeiliau i fyny i Gŵgl. Wrth i mi ysgrifennu hwn mae’n fel byw mewn tirwedd estron gyda phopeth mewn lle anghywir .Rydw i’n bob amser yn ysgrifennu fy narn Blipfoto gyda golygydd testun nawr rydw i’n defnyddio dogfen Gẃgl. Roedd fy ffotograffau ar fy nghyfrifiadur, nawr maen nhw’n mewn Gŵgl hefyd. Mae fy 'nghof cyhyr' yn cofio'r hen ffyrdd ac rydw i’n ffeindio fy nwylo yn mynd i’r hen leoedd. Mae’n ddiddorol iawn. Bydda i’n dod i arfer ag ef yn y pen draw.

Mae manteision i ddefnyddio Gŵgl fel storfa. Mae popeth ar gael ar y we, felly os oes gen i fynediad i'r rhyngrwyd mae gyda  fi bopeth. Rydw i’n gallu defnyddio offer Gŵgl ar fy ffeiliau - ac, os yw'n well gyda fi - rydw i’n gallu gwneud ffeiliau Gŵgl yn edrych fel ffeiliau lleol ac yn defnyddio’r hen offer hefyd. Mae hyn yn agor dimensiwn newydd

Yn fuan fydda e ddim yn teimlo estron.

Mae’r ffotograff heddiw yw rhisgl o’r hen goeden gwins sy'n edrych yn goch yn y glaw.

I've completed uploading all my files to Google. As I write this it is like living in an alien landscape with everything in the wrong place. I always write my Blipfoto piece with a text editor now I use a Google document. My photographs were on my computer, now they are in Google too. My 'muscle memory' remembers the old ways and I find my hands going to the old places. It is very interesting. I'll get used to it eventually.

There are benefits to using Google as a repository. Everything is available on the web, so if I have access to the internet I have everything. I can use Google tools on my files - and, if it's better for me - I can make Google files look like local files and use the old tools too. This opens up a new dimension.

Soon it won't feel alien

Today's photograph is the bark of the old quince tree which looks red in the rain.
