Bible charity

Who is Philip lord wharton I hear you say.
I discovered this bible whilst tidying up my family history stuff. I thought it belonged to my mother but the name inside is Emma Lucas who is my grandmother . It would have been given to her when she was under 18 years of age for learning and reciting 7 psalms and the catechism. He owned land in Yorkshire and in his will monies from that formed a charity that gave bibles to under 18’s.
He was a puritan and supporter of Cromwell. He founded a church which is still going today as a united reformed. Mr Google is full of knowledge.
