New Dawn

Very long day at work. No seat on the train - never a good start to the week.

We bought this rose for our first house and it used to clamber over a fence. It was in bloom on our wedding day. We planted the same variety by the front door of our second house many years ago. Despite one disaster when the whole plant plus trellis was blown off while the rose was in full bloom, it flowers regularly in mid-June to July. The rose reaches the first floor windows. It has a lovely scent and the blooms change from a deep to a pale pink. This year, there aren't too many sawflies or greenfly on the plant.
