Life Dancing

Melting moment

My grandmother used to make delicious biscuits called "Melting Moments"
Simply irresistible...one was never enough.

These days, melting moments come from watching activities on the bird feeders. Equally addictive!
For the first time today I saw the bluetit climb up and down the spiky sticks with ease. (spikes intended to keep pigeons at bay)
The agility is captivating.

With all the mess and noise of building works going on around here, I'm amazed all the birds haven't fled the area completely.
Windows (and everything else) ARE covered with plaster dust and grime
No point cleaning until the builders finally leave

Instead of mass exodus, there are some new visitors, so that's heartening. Spotted very cute little sparrow on feeders this morning,
.
(might be down to the new batch of meal worms purchased the other day)

Lovely to see it sitting very contentedly in the ladle...yes, ladle!
It works wonderfully well, although the rain canopy (also intended to deter larger birds from trying to squeeze on) needs a rethink!

Plenty of other things going on around here but am compelled to keep posting bird pics!
Don't know what that says about me...but taking these unexpected detours from the usual hurly burly of life has been hugely enjoyable.

Term has just finished so work could be a bit erratic from now until September.
That might just turn out to be a good thing....
