The Edge of the Wold

Mountaineering

It’s a long way down, and the steps get bigger the further down you go.

This is the last in a short series of George blips, as this evening he has been reunited with his real people. He may feature again in the future as he does have lots of adventures.

We have enjoyed looking after him, and our kitchen floor has never been cleaner. It has to be said though that for all his cuteness, he is a bit of an attention seeker. And being rather diminutive he is a significant trip hazard. As much as he likes people, he hates bigger dogs (particularly collies, he gave poor Gus a nip on the nose once). He also has a relationship with automotive vehicles which is not recommended in small dogs, so that we have to keep him on a short leash when they motor past. And he loves food, any food will do, and the more the better. Fortunately his small size means he is unable to raid tables and worktops when we turn our backs.

He was very happy when he saw his real people this evening, and he left without a backward glance.
