The cratered priority-bollocksed mess of the Gilmore Place/Home Street junction gave me a puncture a few weeks back and has taken out my rear mudguard attachment system on at least one previous occasion, but the marvellous flexibility and replaceability of the current zip-tie arrangement meant that this morning's detachment could be fixed in a couple of minutes over lunchtime, rather than during the course of an hour over lunchtime after a trip to buy some washers followed by an hour or so at home in the evening with a hacksaw, a drill and a spare section of old mudguard. The time freed-up at lunchtime could therefore be used to attempt to identify the source of the current pedalling-movement-derived clicking, which was not located.
