Hanging On

We had our Japanese Maples pruned today by my friend John, a certified arborist -- it was long overdue. He also gave us a pruning lesson, but I'm not sure how much of it we'll remember by the time they need pruning again.

In between picking up the trimmed branches, and other miscellaneous tasks, I took a few macro photos -- inspired by Cynthia's many backyard blips. I had a hard time choosing between this salal flower/bee shot and the red currant photo here.

The trees looks so much better now -- I might do a before-and-after blip.
