Invisible To The Eye

The patterns in this image were not visible to the eye. Wind blown ripples distorted reflections in ever changing variations. With rising velocity, the water surface mutated from nearly flat calm to a thousand shards. But I could not isolate a moment, only the camera could do that.

The water here is not often this clear, so I took advantage. Experimenting, I began to anticipate  what might happen, but the outcome was often a delight.

All that empty space is hard to leave alone, but I think that's where the tension lies.
