Magnolia Stellata……

…….living up to its name of Star Flower.
The smallest shrub of the Magnolia family. It is 18 years old this year, having been bought for us by my sister and husband when our Matt died in September 2006.

“Star magnolia (Magnolia stellata) is one of the smallest magnolias, producing a showy cloud of white flowers in early spring. Originally from the highlands of the Japanese island of Honshu, it is sometimes considered a variety of M. kobus but of garden origin.”
Still not sleeping well, but I think of all the people I know who are in the same boat in the wee small hours.
A lot of you being Blippers too.
