Sunday 28 June 2009: Mystery Goggles
These eye protectors (real purpose unknown) are just one small part of the haul Andy won in the tombola at yesterday's rugby fête.
He was a bit disappointed when I said they weren't a diver's mask, but now he thinks they'll come in handy when he's digging out fossils. In among the pile of goodies he returned with was "loads of beer and wine for you, dad".
Delighted, I took a closer look - to see that someone had donated a prize of a bottle of lager with a "drink by" date of February. How shabby is that?
It'll be just like being a student again. After all, those dates are just a guide, aren't they.
