Life On The Towpath

It's quite intriguing watching the activity outside, not just the boats but people's behaviour too.

This chap had already moved the boat a few yards along, necessitating moving chairs, then he walked first one way, then the other carrying this big sign. I first read it as Bargain Booze and wondered how he was selling cut-price alcohol from a narrow boat, then read properly Barge-In Booze, which might indicate selling booze at inflated prices. Or an invitation to just push anyone else out of the way and step on board.

Unfortunately it was on the other side of the canal and I couldn't buy it anyway.
