Aye Aye .....

When I was a kid in the North, Aye Aye was a friendly greeting. In the Swinging Sixties, the old dialect and usage fell away, even in Bradford, in favour of hip new words - Hi becoming the favourite. I didn't hear Aye Aye again until I went to Orkney in the 90's.

Nothing to do with the Blip really. At an open garden today, full of sculpture and arty embellishments, it was this Eye in the bark of a silver birch that caught mine.
