Number147

Wednesday

Two crows (or rooks/ravens etc) wait for, and follow, Paddy and Ivy twice a day.

Paddy scatter feeds Ivy and, now, also two big black birds. Paddy had named them Colin and Chris.

They will only go so far and then wait for the return leg.

Also, they seem to recognise Ivy, not Paddy, because they do them same when Emma walks her. They have no interest in me and Hetty. (I scatter feed Hetty in the morning too.)

Kelvin told Paddy that the rooks, or ravens, or crows, can live very long lives so he may had created a rod for his own back.

Another regular dog, Winnie, who was only 15 months old, had an accident in her own back garden and has died. I'm not sure what happened yet but feel for Carole, her owner.

I was too busy for hedgehog photos yesterday. They are coming in thick and fast.

In the wild, they are coming out of hibernation. Those riddled with parasites and lungworm are struggling and some very sorry creatures are being delivered.

So the plan is to release "our" healthy ones, like Zara, who weighs almost 1000 grams.

All the cages were occupied! And almost all required my attention. Several come out to feed as soon as they hear me.

Hetty found a ball. And, the cafe photographed her for their wall. She's the first!
