Much laughter was had on arrival -

had we really just driven for five hours
from our lovely, comfortable homes
through stunning scenery
to stay in a small wooden structure (what the hell with the tagged adverts?)
and be bitten by midges
in misty rain
and occasional gale-force winds ?

Yep, looked like we had.

Nevermind, booze and good company cures most ailments.
