Another Day

Rare visitor

Yesterday we had a pair of Siskins visit the bird feeder, birds we haven’t seen since a couple of winters ago.  This morning the female came back and didn’t move whilst I worked in the garden.  I fetched my camera and moved slowly to the outside furniture and was able to sit down without it moving.

I’ve also had a holly blue butterfly visit (extra) and have seen a Brimstone flitting around.  There are also signs of a hedgehog visiting the garden and lots of holes in the lawn caused by a green woodpecker.

The ravens are still being harassed by crows but seem to have decided that the big pines are a good place to hang around.  The buzzards and kites are still soaring high in the sky and performing acrobatics.

This afternoon we’ve been over to see the grandchildren.  Luke is losing the puffiness caused by the steroids he no longer takes and is shooting up.  His brother was just off to play tennis doubles and is also getting much taller.  Well fed obviously.
