You need to be a certain age to remember Cliff Michelmore and the Tonight program, which ran for an hour after the news, every weekday evening,
They usually had outstanding April Fools jokes, some of which fooled a large proportion of the audience. The one that has stuck in my mind over the years was the film showing the spaghetti harvest being gathered from the trees.
