(095) I'm Not Daffd

The last time we visited Alnwick was around twenty years ago and we were able to wander freely around the castle grounds. Today, after visiting Alnwick Gardens, we would have been required to pay £20 each to access the grounds, even though we didn't want to go into the castle. However, one of the gate attendants was kind enough to let us know that at 3.45pm the ticket access point was closed for the day and we could then wander without charge, which is exactly what we did. I don't mind paying my way but £20 for a ten minute walk isn't happening, even for the view I captured for today's blip. The extra is a view of the grand cascade in the garden when the fountains are in action.
