Signs of summer

Today S spotted two ladybirds in our garden and I captured my first hover fly image of the year. The weather has been glorious and M,S and I had a lovely walk through the woods and along the shore this evening. They wanted to stretch their legs after their transatlantic flight and trip to see Mum.
Mum recognised S as someone she knew and was delighted to see them but was otherwise very tired and sleepy. I was so glad for S’s sake that Mum knew that S was someone she knew and loved.This journey is so hard for all of us but most of all for Mum.
