In Newcastle

Coming back from a splendid trip to Newcastle. The main reason for going was to catch the end of an exhibition of a famous female photographer, suffragette and advocate for women in general. The exhibition was at The Laing Gallery and we were lucky to catch the curator's talk as well. The exhibition was called 'Yevonde, a Life in Colour'. She was famous for pioneering color photography, and her creative images of 1930s society glitterati.  And was a family friend.
We also enjoyed Ouseburn with its independent shops, galleries etc. The kittiwakes nesting on the Bridges, the cathedrals, a tapas meal and more.
