The day started off dry so I headed up to the reservoir for a walk first thing. Other than a pair of mallards and a couple of passing pigeons, I saw no birds at all. On the look out for wildflowers, there were none of these either except from a dried sprig of last year’s rosebay willow herb. There were however some nice reflections of trees in the water so I at least have something to show for my walk.
Heavy rain by lunchtime lasted a while but now, late afternoon, we have sunshine and a strong wind.
