Roadside

Opposite a busy filling station.
A nice day, so we went into the meadows to see what sort of  state they were in. We didn't get far, a hundred yards  or so, then we were forced to turn back by mud, water, or both. We've lived here over 50 years and have never seen the ground so saturated.
