Magnolias Everywhere...

So beautiful! The ones I have seen around town so far are white...and, I think, this variety..Whatever...They are gorgeous! Am still waiting for the pink blooms on the big tree  on the corner..

Ever notice how stressful things seem to come in waves - often in threes? Sort of like an ambush? Today my neighbour's husband who has Alzheimer's went walkabout - something he has never done before -  and got lost! How scary....For two hours we had three cars driving around town looking for him...and just as my neighbour was about to call the police, a call came - he had been found! Further away than we had searched....sitting exhausted in front of a woman's house..who, seeing that he was not well, called an ambulance...Whew....My neighbour knew that one day this would become a problem but she had no idea it would be this soon...so now begins the effort to prevent it from happening again.. alarms on doors, a personal tracking system, perhaps more Daycare days than he has now and extra help for the family. And a neighbourhood now on Walkabout Watch....It takes a village....
