Peas and beans

There's a rabbit which has recently started coming into our garden. Our neighbours who have lived here for 40 years say it's the first they've seen in Colinton. It likes eating young pea plants, unfortunately, and has munched it's way through the peas in my vegetable plot. I'm trying to grow some dwarf beans and sweet peas closer to the house, in the hope that the rabbit is too nervous to come this close to our back door. Any suggestions for keeping rabbits out of the garden would be welcome.

We've named him "Peter", by the way. I hope he doesn't have any sisters ;o)
