Small house

The white house is very small, only one bay wide. I found a nice (albeit fictitious) story explaining the width: a servant of the family who where having their mansion built on the other side of the canal, sighed that he'd love to have a house the size of the front doors of the mansion alone. 'Why not', the rich family thought, and they built this narrow house for him with the left over building materials.
