Six hours work in the charity shop, lots of fun and very busy at times, then I returned a pair of trousers to Aldi. I called at Kingsway Shopping centre to buy a small sketch pad and picked up some bottles of paint. Red, yellow, blue and white, that's all I need!

I cooked up two portions of Smokey Harissa Aubergine and Chickpeas from my new Bold Beans cookbook for the freezer, but snuck a taste - very nice! Then cooked a mushroom risotto made with pearl barley for my tea... then remembered it was Tuesday and the walk started at 7 o'clock...

I made it with 10 minutes to spare. It's a walk we do every year starting from Shardlow, with a stop at Church Wilne for a view of the sunset :-)
