We were early for our lunch date so the pub dining room was empty when we arrived and looking very inviting. Within an hour every table was occupied.
We were there for a reunion of Norman’s former work colleagues. We picked up dear friends D and A, we have known them for sixty years! It was a sociable lunch and the food was good but service was irritatingly slow, and maybe we will go somewhere else for the next reunion.
Once again it was a joy to travel in the country roads with the trees in their fresh spring green, and cowslips on the verges.
