Tulips and a midden

Despite the chill and the drizzle we headed out to NT Hidcote this afternoon. The tulips were wonderful. The farmyard beyond, an ageless Cotswold scene! I also saw a newt and a shrew scuttling across one of the garden paths. The adolescent lambs were careering round the field beyond the ha ha. Their gambolling days long gone!

Another day when the U.K. news was dominated by political events in Scotland.
