Movie Magic

My good friend arrived last night for a two week Italian holiday and today we had an adventurous day cruising about Lucca. Fueled on cappuccini and cornetti, we circumnavigated the Renaissance walls that surround the town, then checked out the remnants of the Roman and Medieval walls. Lots of old walls. After visiting a 700 year old saint, we bumped into an 86 year old movie star. Yes, another Dustin Hoffman sighting! We stopped by the current filming location and watched some of the ‘backstage’ action. They had turned an non-descript alley into an old bookstore with piles of dusty books, oriental rugs, hanging bird cages and a horse. A horse? Yes, there was a big white horse. Today’s blip is a shot of the movie set right after they wrapped up the scene. (The horse left earlier). We know that because the staff applauded, moved the barriers and started packing up. So many people working behind the scene to make the movie magic. I really hope the film is released this year…I can’t wait to see it!
