The Dark Soldier

has a body length of eleven to fifteen millimeters. The head and antennae are black, with the exception of the orange-red mouthparts and first antennal segments. The pronotum is orange-red with a black spot in the middle. This touches the leading edge, but sometimes also runs as a black band to the completely black elytra. The abdomen is also orange-red and often protrudes in a point below the elytra. The dark soldier has black legs and is completely orange-red on the underside....
