A day in the life

Relations

I'd noticed, when I do my walks, that there are trashed bricks lying around in the stone fence along the strawberry fields. Today I happened to meet the landowner and asked if I could take the ones I wanted to use on my own projects. He waved his hand and said: "just take them".
I was sure he was going to say that but taking them without asking could most likely lead to talk and bad relations if/when he found out. This is a small farming community where everyone knows each other for generations and I do best playing by the unwritten rules, building confidence and relations. I now have forty bricks for free, and there's more, to use for various projects in near future.
